  1. Firstly, click on Settings.
  2. Click on your name. It will be placed immediately above the Settings.
  3. Move towards the end.
  4. Click on Log Out.
  5. Next, put your Apple address whenever needed.
  6. Then, click on switch off. Note that this will switch off Find My iPhone. This is compulsory to do before switching off iCloud.
  7. Select the file that you wish to have a copy of on this device.
  8. After that, move the slider to switch it on for Calendars, Contacts, Keychain, Safari, and Stocks.
  9. Next, click on Sign Out. This will be towards the above at the corner side.
  10. Lastly, press Log Out again.

Congratulations!  Now, you are logged out of iCloud.

The method of switching off iCloud on iPhone on iOS 10.2 (also applicable for older versions)

  1. Firstly, go to Settings.
  2. Click on iCloud.
  3. Then, Log Out.
  4. Click on Delete from My iPhone.
  5. Choose the files that you would prefer to have a copy of on your device.
  6. Put your Apple address whenever required.
  7. Lastly, click on Turn Off.
